Each new season calls for different needs. Autumn is where the colder season kicks in and when we have to update our wardrobe by storing away our summer clothing and taking out the coats and scarves. The thing that I love about shopping during autumn is that everything is super cozy. Here are 5 essentials that you need this season that will keep you warm, happy and can be effortlessly styled.

Coats

A coat is a wardrobe essential that every woman should have/ should invest in. There are certain clothing pieces that only can only be worn with particular pieces of clothing. The coat, however, begs to differ. They are super versatile and can be easily dressed up when paired with heels or boots, or dressed down when worn with sneakers or flats. They can basically be worn with anything. Dresses. Skirts. Jeans. Leggings. You get the picture. Oh, and did I mention that they are perfect for layering when winter hits as well? Win win.

Knee- high boots

There was a time when knee- high boots were looked down on and not many people wore it/ weren’t daring enough and decided to stick to the trusted ankle boot instead. However, this season is where the knee- high boot takes centre stage and becomes the ‘it’ staple this autumn as people are willing to take more risks when styling. The boots can easily be dressed up or down, making them perfect to wear with jeans, an oversized knit or your versatile coat. They are available with heels for when you want to dress up your look and flat soles for a more casual, everyday look.

Eternity Scarf/ Snoods

This has got to be one of my favourite accessories to wear in autumn. The thing I like about the eternity scarf is that it is effortlessly styled (pop and go) and also because it is super warm. They come in many different colours, textures and designs, which allow you to completely change your outfit each time you wear it. Talk about effortless.

Be Enlightened Candles

Passionfruit and Paw Paw Triple Scented Candle $39.95 at Be Enlightened

When the warmer season draws to a close and you’re indoors watching your favourite movies all snuggled up, the scent of candles can take away the much missed absence of nature and the outdoors. Be enlightened candles are by far my favourite ever. The smell seems to linger in my room for forever and even when I haven’t lit my candle, I can still smell it. This is definitely an autumn essential for when you need to lift your mood, get your dose of nature or just to unwind and relax after a long day. My personal favourite is the passionfruit and paw paw scent.

Lucas’ Papaw Ointment

I find that in winter my lips tend to get really dry and chapped. An essential for me is to have papaw ointment. They are super moisturising and a little always goes a long way. Oh, and they have many uses as well such as being used for insect bites, cuts and for sunburnt skin. As you can probably tell by now, I’m a sucker for all products that have multiple benefits.
