CFDA Awards Red Carpet

This time last year we were picking up our jaws from Rihanna’s naked, sparkly dress and fur stole that she used to hide only the tiniest bit of modesty at the CFDA Awards red carpet.

This year, there wasn’t so much drama. With laid back Pharrell Williams being named the CFDA Fashion Icon of the year, the musician showed off his chilled style with zero nudity.

The celebrities were out in force on the CFDA Awards red carpet with designers, singers, models and actors strolling fabulously along the ruby rug, showing why they were invited to such a glam fashion event.

Kim Kardashian-West and hubby Kanye made their first public appearance since announcing that they were expecting a second addition to their family. Kim stepped out in a sheer Proenzer Schouler gown, proving that pregnancy doesn’t mean morning. Hopefully we won’t see any floral dresses this time around.

Chrissy Teigan was beaming in a strapless, cream Solace London gown with a split to show off her long legs, of course, while Gigi Hadid also showed off her elongated pins in a gold Michael Kors jumpsuit – talk about ethereal.

Diane Kruger was elegant as always in a red and black Prabal Gurung strapless gown. Karlie Kloss also appeared in black and red, in a polka dot DVF gown and eschewed heels for a pair of cute and comfy flats.

Amanda Seyfreid was razor sharp with her sleek, straight hair in a beaded and feathered Rodarte ensemble while Nina Dobrev went for a much softer look in Lela Rose with a feathered skirt.

Joan Smalls was the queen of plunging necklines in a white Calvin Klein jumpsuit with unforgettable blue and black smokey eyes. Natasha Poly also made an impression in a stunning, red Michael Kors gow.

Brittany Snow kept it cute and simple in a blue, off-the-shoulder Rachel Roy dress with some cheeky sheer panelling. Petra Nemcova looked a little coy in her gorgeous Max Azria gown, but one of our favourites of the night was Hannah Davis in a Milly ensemble that which include a crop top, cropped jacket and a purple midi-skirt that accentuated her tiny waist.
